Villages near uckfield/crowbough/Heathfield east sussex

Can any recommend a lovely village near these towns in East Sussex.
don’t really want anywhere that has lots of traffic.
would like be nice if it had a couple of good pubs, some shops, on a bus route, village hall etc

On your previous thread I recommended where I live Northiam. You could look at what I said about it there.

Etchingham and Burwash are nice and close to Heathfield.

Were none of the previous suggestions suitable?

@2doglady Northiam sounds wonderful but just a bit too far from 2 of our children on the Sussex/Surrey borders. I will have a look at etchingham and Burwash Thank you

Villages with little traffic but also large enough to have pubs, shops and be on a bus route are rare.
