Looking for recommendations please! Budget 300K, level living e.g. bungalow. Detached would be a bonus as would a garage or workshop.

Wish list: min 2 beds, garden, parking; walking distance of parkland or countryside right of way access; small but social community; coastal is okay.

No: high flood risk, high crime, deprivation markers.

Prefer: record for annual weather is good

Necessary: excellent internet provision

Irrelevant: schools and employment

Bump for the evening crew :-)

You need to narrow it down a bit more to at least a general area.

Fair enough, thank you! Let's say England, not urbanised town/city. I can potentially live anywhere so hoping to get localised recommendations :-)

Are you referring to the UK??! Obviously there are differences and you can check data but basically anywhere in the UK the weather is 'variable'. Perhaps wetter in the west and cooler in the north but otherwise unpredictable but temperate. Climate change is leading to more floods, extremes etc

If I could, I’d move to Louth or the nearby coastal villages.

I genuinely don’t know how it fares on deprivation, flooding, crime and Internet.

Scotland has far more bungalows than England.

Near but not in Peebles, which is a nice wee town. Workshop, garden, surrounded by countryside (but near the main road) no need to worry about rights of way because of the Right to Roam. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/146044625
