Paint colours

Does anyone have any recommendations for paint colours please? I’m looking for inspiration for my home office. Also, I have two young children who are not yet at an age where they remember to always keep their sticky hands off the walls. I also have a non-vented extraction fan in the kitchen so any recommendations for colours that would wear marks better. I do usually like neutral colours, but happy for recommendations of other colours that could be feature walls that would wear better.
I do buy the paint that you can scrub, usually the valspar range from B and Q but interested if there are any better brands.
Any recommendations gratefully received. Thank you.

Have a look at this website. It has pictures and details about lots of paint brands and you can get them colour matched by Valspar. I’ve found the Valspar rep at B&Q really helpful in advising what type of paint to go for.

(Trying to decide between a million different 'white' shades for my hall and really struggling)

We always buy Valspar and often match it to Little Greene paint colours!

It really is. It’s so difficult to tell from the little squares, this is so useful.

V & Co, dead flat matt is brilliant paint. New York City Winter is the best neutral ever.

Another vote for Valspar colour match. My whole house has been done by colour matching to Little Greene paint swatches.

Can recommend Mushroom (a lovely, warm greige) and also Kitchen Green (a muted soft, sage green) I also have all my woodwork done in loft white. I've owned properties for 35 years and wouldn't go past colour matching with Valspar now.

You can go on the Little Greene website and order the colour tiles which will come through the post, then take them to B&Q.

The Rolling Fog range from Little Greene has lovely neutrals. I did buy the actual Little Greene paint for one wall in a darker shade and had the light version colour matched for the rest. Little Greene paint is lovely to paint with but honestly the Valspar match looks as good and was more than 50% cheaper - adds up when you’re doing a big area. That website is addictive - I like how you can see the colour in different lights.
