Flooring for baby & dog (LVT, cork, rubber etc)

We're first time home owners and planning to replace the floor of our small open plan kitchen diner lounge. We have a month old baby and a year old puppy and a really good nice-to-have for the flooring to be friendly for both (soft for baby's falls and not slippery for puppy). Must haves are it should be good to work with underfloor heating and easy to clean since muddy paws go in and out from there all day long. It's right adjoining the garden so on wet days we tend to be particularly wet inside too with the pup going in and out.

Price is not an issue since the area is smallish, we can afford to splurge ;)

We don't care for the resale either as we're pretty set here. I was looking at all kinds of options from LVT to cork or even rubber flooring.

Any advice for us on pros and cons of these you've experienced? Or any suggestions of what type to go for? Many thanks!

Marmoleum is brilliant. Warm to the touch, you can sand out scratches and it is patterned so doesn't show mess too much. And it is made from sawdust and linseed oil, so good for the environment too.
