Everyone else in the chain is ready to exchange. We were told our buyers were ready a few weeks ago and then the solicitor backtracked and revealed their searches weren’t even back! 2 weeks on they still aren’t back and we’ve found out they are getting personal searches through a search agent (something we had never heard of before). According to the solicitor the search agent has said they are delayed due to the council gathering the building regulations information and they can’t give us any idea of an ETA.
Feel like we are living in limbo - do we start packing anyway so we are prepared? We are almost too scared incase something isn’t right here. We’ve also got 3 children who will be moving schools and feel bad we can’t give them any answers either.
Would like to know if any one has had a similar experience?
