I took my host a book I thought she’d enjoy (3rd hand but she liked it) and paid for a meal out. If we’d gone to a supermarket I’d have paid for that, but it didn’t happen.

I’m travelling around the NE by public transport (I usually rent a car for £££) and I’m blown away by the £2 bus tickets.

I want everyone else’s visitor, they bring you nice things (apart from the fleas one!), my visitors rarely bring anything with them.

We've got a newborn so have had lots of lovely gifts brought in over the past 2 months, but the last visitor brought a bag of M&S treats and snacks, and some dry shampoo, lip balm and hand cream for me

Post which had been sent to my parents

A punnet of grapes and a box of flapjack bites this afternoon from my mum.

A frighteningly large quantity of exceptionally good booze 😂 they were camping in my garden for a few days and didn't want to run out.

My friend runs a small pub that specialises in really good ales and spirits, and her partner makes his own flavoured meads. The dark ginger one was absolutely lethal.
