Best Shed Paint - for wood preservation

Moved onto a property with a beautiful wooden summer house in the garden. The previous owners had painted it a dark blue/French navy...however its wearing off and needs re painting.
The summer house is in pretty good condition so want to paint it this summer to make sure it's protected.
Any recommendations on a decent product to preserve/protect it best?

I think I'm stuck with a dark colour because I don't have the skill time or equipment to strip it.
I'm guessing it may have previously been painted with Cuprinal Shed Paint...but someone said that product wasn't the best. I'm new to all this so wondering if anyone can recommend a product or share some wisdom! 🙂

Anything mineral oil based so it sinks in

I would use Cuprinol Garden Shades. Roughly sand the outside to remove the flaky bits. It will need two coats and i think you could go lighter.

You may be able to get a sample pot yo test it first.
