WHERE TO LIVE?! LEEDS-WAKEFIELD

We are relocating from Lincoln to be closer to family in Wakefield. Would like a semi or detached, at least 3 beds, budget around 350k. DH will be working at Leeds Bradford airport. We have a 3 year old so good local schools are a must. Semi-rural would be ideal but wouldn't mind a market town with a nice high street with nice coffee shops etc. We just have no idea where to look! Please help with any recommendations!

That budget seems decent for the area, you should find a 3 bed semi no problem for £350k. If DH will be commuting to LBA daily I would recommend being on the north/west side of Leeds rather than the South/East as you'd have to go through Leeds to get to LBA and the traffic can be a bit of a nightmare at rush hour.

Calverley, Horsforth, Rawdon, Guisely, Yeadon, are all really nice and not too far from the airport. Otley & Menston are a bit more rural and also lovely.

Chapel Allerton, Headingley, Meanwood and Oakwood are all nice and a bit closer to Leeds - can be a bit student-y though.

Farsley is Calverley's neighbour with a nice high street and better amenities. They are developing the nearby main road which will give better walking access to the semi-rural bits. It's a fairly quick drive to LBA from there.
