Hello,

Rubbish/novice DIY'er here.

We are repainting our bathroom, including skirting boards, regrouting existing tiles and possibly retiling the bath panel - but we won't know until we take it off. We are also replacing our flooring.

Should I replace the flooring and then paint/do skirting boards? Or do it all before? If I wait, I worry it will get damaged by paint. If I do it before, the paintwork might get scuffed.

Please advise. Thanks!

I've done all my own house painting for the last 50 years and I would say definitely do the skirting board before you lay the floor if you were to scratch the paint work you can always touch that little tiny bit up.

Ok, great. Thank you very much. I suspect it will be a lot easier doing that, rather than crying over paint on a new floor.
