How soon after viewing did you put an offer in?

Just that really! I'm interested in whether anyone waited a few days to get in touch or whether most people offered immediately. Also how many viewings did you have first? Thanks

We offered 35k over the asking price about 2 hours after the viewing, only because the EA pushed us to put an offer in due to two others being on the table.

We got ours accepted, and we're very happy ☺️.

Viewed at 11am. Put offer in (asking price) at 1pm. Accepted by 3pm.

I think it might be different at the moment because some people are viewing houses when they (the viewers) are on the market but not yet under offer. We saw a house on Saturday and loved it, but until someone makes an offer on ours we can't put in an offer. We're resigned to the fact that someone else will beat us to it!

Bought three properties in my lifetime. Viewed two twice and put offer in when we got home. One property we put an offer in there at the viewing - that was in 1999 when properties were being snapped up within 24 hours.

Forgot to say we were chain free on two of those occasions, and other had an offer in principal and a very flexible buyer.

Viewed on the Saturday, put in an offer on the Tuesday. It was rejected, but the house went to a closing date a week later, when I was the highest bidder after seriously upping my offer!

Haha you don’t muck about & neither do your sellers! Hope that bodes well for a straightforward purchase.

I viewed a property which had just come back on the market one Saturday morning and absolutely loved it! Asked the agent if I could view again later in the day with my son and to please hold off doing any other viewings in between. I took all my paperwork in with me on the second viewing later that day to show I was proceedable and made my offer then and there. We moved in 3 months later!

I've always waited at least overnight to have time to talk it through and be sure about my decision, even if I knew the second I walked in the door I wanted it!

Hi im new here just asking for other people's experience in selling there house. I am currently on the market had a few viewings and one couple seemed really interested asking questions about the house/area/neighbours ect. They then said they had a couple other houses to view and would let us know ASAP. Should I take this as they aren't that interested or is it something people say. I bought my house 20 years ago so a bit out of the loop with how things work now haha thank you 😊

If they're interested, they'll make an offer. Viewers spout all kinds of polite shit.

You'd be best starting your own thread.

Just realised this is an old thread

We weren't proceedable during our first viewing so couldn't offer. Also, I liked it but my partner didn't. A few weeks later, we were under offer so my partner went back for a 2nd viewing (I was out of the country so she took a friend). She liked it more that time so we offered the next working day. That was rejected so we went higher as there wasn't a lot on the market and we just wanted to get things moving. So I think this comes down to how much you love the property, the competition and how keen you are to move quickly.

As soon as I had made up my mind!

@Louise0485 , you need to start your own thread , not revive old ones 🙂
