Hi everyone - just after some advice from those more knowledgeable than me!
We are hoping to move soon and our paperwork is going through the solicitors on both sides. We have our mortgage offer, which was agreed following a 'drive-by survey'. I'd never heard of this before, but apparently, the mortgage lender has looked at our new house on Google and agree that it's worth the money we're paying for it.
I've been asked if I want a full survey to be carried out, too, but there are different levels. The thing is, we're planning on major work to the house which will include a 2 storey extension, internal walls coming down and the demolition of the back of the house, too.
Is there anything to be gained from getting a survey done? Should I get the basic one, just in case?
Thanks!
