I have a set of vintage bedside tables, and I've started sanding them back to raw wood as they're dinged and covered in odd bits of paint here and there.
This isn't something I've really done before and I'd like to confirm the wood so I can understand how best to finish it.
I think it's pine. Can anyone else identify it? And if it is pine, do you recommend anything in particular to finish the tables? I've read it's better to use oil for pine rather than a stain.
