Talk to me about wrapping furniture (for move) in cling film

We'll be doing our own moving. Hiring a van and doing our own packing.

Anyone have any experience of wrapping furniture - sofa, wardrobe, drawers etc - in cling film?

Presume there's some sort industrisl strength cling film for purchase on Amazon?

Is it worth using? Easy? Any tips or products to recommend?

TIA

Yes! We bought one off Amazon and used it to live to this place and will use it again when we move soon.

It's good for flat pack stuff. Take it all down and pile it on top of each other. We wrapped bubble wrap and then wrapped that with the cellophane, it holds it all in place and makes it solid to move around.

Its called "pallet wrap"

That’s incredibly wasteful for just one time. You can wrap duvets/blankets over if you’re so concerned or the removal people use their own.

We just bought large removal blankets off Amazon. I think we paid £20 for 20 and just wrapped our stuff in them to protect them.

Going to sell or give them away I think.
