Does a washing line prop for concrete exist?

We've only got slabs and I really want to get my washing out on the line. Have new grass so don't want to ruin it after the nightmare we've had getting it to grow ! Are there such things as props
You can use on hard floor ?

Yes! I bought one last year at a hardware store. Has a plastic / rubber foot and so far hasn’t slipped on the paving slabs.

I multitask the stand for the sun garden parasol. It has a slightly rubberised bottom and is big enough not to move

Easy to make one. Take a normal prop (or cut a piece of wood to size). Stick one end in an old paint tin and fill it with concrete.

If you look in an independent DIY/hardware shop you may be able to find an old fashioned wooden clothes prop.

See this is what I was thinking, some kind of rubber bung on the end of a prop !

Can you not but something like this and put on the end of the prop?

I only have short lines now so i dont need one but in the past I had a wooden one. A 6 foot ish , 2"x1" treated wood with a V cut in the top and a U shaped bottom .
Aa long as it was pushed into place to keep the line taut it stayed in place .

I do the same.
My washing line is over part of my decking and the prop kept slipping so it's now safely inside an old parasol stand and that is working perfectly.
