Recently got one and I can’t get the hang of it. Are you supposed to move the door round in a large circular motion? Or are you supposed to open conventionally and then push inside?

I’m asking because twice now the door has locked on me when I am trying to shut the door. I know what the issue is - there are little rotating nobs on the hinges that you can intentionally lock in place if you are removing the oven door for cleaning so you just have to get a knife and put it back in the right position but it’s irritating and imo shouldn’t happen.

Apart from it only seems to happen to me and not my husband so I’m now genuinely wondering if I am opening and closing the door in a stupid way. Anything space and movement related is really not my strong point and it wouldn’t be the first time I had misunderstood something like this.

How are you supposed to do it??

Is it new? That sounds odd. I’ve had mine 8 years and it hasn’t locked on me. I just pull it straight out towards me and it vanishes into the oven at the same time. I don’t wiggle it from side to side.

You open it normally then it slides in.
