French door security

My daughter is moving into a ground floor flat with her Uni friends for her 2nd year. She’s drawn the smallest bedroom which only has French doors and no window. Is there any way she can open then slightly at night, but still keeping her room secure? She’s worried about hotter nights and not having any fresh air flow.

On the ground floor? No.

As it's not her house then she will be limited on what she can do. If it was her house things like retractable grills.

I would suggest to ask the landlord but i know what the answer will be before its even asked

I don't know how secure this would be but might be worth asking the landlord if she can put it in

My dd has sliding patio doors on her room so we put in one of these. It really helps her room get some air (it's a sunroom downstairs which we've insulated)
