Hints for packing

My first one pack you clothes by type rather than season .
Second it will take longer than you think. We're lucky in which we moved between houses we own but went 2 weeks over and I'm suffering moving injuries, a broken finger, sore knee following a fall and my arthritis in my hip has been aggravated.

If you can afford it, pay extra for the removals company to do your packing for you!

Another thing, really think about decluttering before going on the market and during process. I did most of the packing as completion massively delayed and DH couldn't get time off - he arrived home 4pm the day before completion to find a pile waiting to go to the tip.

Re: packing - I started with anything I knew we could make do without for a few weeks, slowly working my way through to immediate things. Luckily both moves the removals people dealt with all the clothes in our wardrobes, taking them off our rails and putting them in a temporary wardrobe style box.

Start decluttering before you even put the house on the market. I left it too late and ended up having to take a lot of things to the recycling depot or charity shop that I could have sold or thoughtfully given away I’d had the time.
