Hi all, I have made an application to the local authority following a MARAC / persistent DV (currently on a relief duty—56 days expire in a week or so) and am bidding until I hear if they accept a statutory duty to rehouse.
First question: An advert ended yesterday. I went to check what position I was in this morning, and it says 'pending' Does this mean I might be shortlisted, or is it just them sorting out the list whilst they create their shortlist? Previously, I'd just seen a position number, and then it was moved to unsuccessful.
Second question - anyone who was given a relief duty, did they get a decision on a statutory duty within the 56 days, exactly on the 56th day, or is it common for councils to go beyond that time frame?
Thirdly - I'm trying to stay positive as I'm seeing my general position in the queue go up from 34 to 17, 14, and now my highest is 11. Trying to stay positive that something might happen soon, but those who had their 1 direct offer -are those properties usually better? Or is it just luck of the draw?
Nb. please be kind in your responses, they might seem like thick questions but I've been through a lot so your experience if you have any would be really helpful :)
