Kitchen cabinets - satin or matt?

Planning our new kitchen which will be similar(ish) to the one in the photo - shaker style and Stiffkey blue (not actually F&B but as close as I can get).

Question - is matt or satin a better paint option? Satin 'feels' more luxurious and will be more hard wearing but my heart says matt is more authentic.

Matt will be so hard to clean.amd keep clean. With greasy fingerprints. Satin is much more forgiving.

Agree that satin is definitely easier to buff and keep clean. Depends on how light and airy your kitchen is? I would always satin for rooms without much natural light.

We went from a matt to a gloss kitchen

Matt. Satin always looks naff, IMO.

i don't like the look of satin tbh. I'd always choose matt

Lots of light in the kitchen - high ceiling and skylights.

With 6 dogs wagging wet and muddy tails in the winter I've decided to be practical and go for satin 😊

I fully support satin finish. It’s much easier to keep clean and it reflects the light really well so the kitchen looks more airy and brighter.

I know this might not be relevant but if you want to add some matte finishes to your home. I feel that matte finishes on the wardrobes are very nice.
So satin finish in the kitchen but matte finish on surface in the bedroom 😝😝
