Hi all,

Just wondering how long you waited to get your mortgage offer after your valuation. (If it was with TSB that would be extra helpful!) Our valuation was only today but just curious as I'm sure you can imagine the nerves are awful!

Following with interest @tkp - we have our TSB valuation happening tomorrow. Everything crossed - I’d forgotten how stressful this bit is!

@WhatWouldPennyDo Good luck! It's 100% the worst part of the process.
Our broker didn't upload all of the necessary documents (helpful), so thank goodness I called TSB to check the application. If you use this website it gives you a rough time frame of applications. intermediary.tsb.co.uk/

12 days for me with Nationwide. The property was down valued and I had to change products so that probably made it take longer.

Thanks @tkp, you too! Ours is classified as a ‘larger loan’ so not sure if those timings apply, but good to get a steer. I know I’m going to feel twitchy each time I see an email from our broker 😬

@WhatWouldPennyDo our brokers lack of help has pushed us to the back of the line, so we should have got it today but now could be up until next week! Worst part was he didn't tell us he needed to uplaod them, I told him!

@tkp how frustrating! Hope you get a speedy resolution.

@WhatWouldPennyDo Yesterday, I kept calling TSB and asked them to escalate it. One lovely lovely woman did and our offer was issues 10 mins later.(around 3:15pm)

That’s brilliant @tkp - CONGRATULATIONS!

Wanted to come back to update as I know how frustrating that can be if you stumble across something without an outcome 😂

mortgage approved, hooray! Applied on Monday (week one), various docs requested by TSB, same week. Valuation booked for Monday (week two), completed and reviewed the same day. Thurs week two, broker spoke to underwriter who said all looked good. Friday week two, mortgage offered. All done inside 10 working days. Great service!

good luck to all.
