Purple Bricks question for buyers.

Title should say question for sellers!!

Can anyone explain how purple bricks works please.

We viewed a house and exchanged phone numbers with the seller. We made an offer directly to the seller and also via the purple bricks website.

We didn’t hear from the seller for a few days so I’ve chased it up. They replied to say they have a call scheduled with PB and will ask PB to contact us.

My question - how do sellers get notified about offers? Do they get notified automatically as offers are made? Or do you think they are waiting for this call to find out from PB about the offers they’ve had.

Just trying to work out what our chances are! Will PB just give us a yes/no or will they negotiate?

We sold through purple bricks 5 years ago. All contact comes through on the app so they will be aware of everything and they can choose to respond or pass it to their purple bricks agent to act on their behalf.

Thanks! I’m hoping the fact they haven’t rejected it is a good sign 🤞

We sold three years ago voa purple bricks and as previous poster it all came through immediately for us on the app.

All I will add is if they accept your offer PB are likely to try and convince you to use their conveyancing firm, do not do this!!! We'd already heard the horror stories so we'd already arranged an alternative but our FTBs were convinced to sign up with PB's conveyancing and it caused no end of problems for us.

Thanks, I’ve heard horror stories as well so definitely won’t! PB phoned to sell us services as soon as we put the offer in.
