Hello. I'm a single mum to an 18mo DD. My parents are looking to move to Devon, where they've always planned to retire to. We're very close and I work fully remotely so can go too, should we choose. I'm totally stumped. I know south hams fairly well, but not central or east Devon.
Can anyone pls recommend small towns/bigger villages in central (ie Tavistock ish) to Exeter / east Devon which have great communities, etc? Thinking St Peter's prep or Blundells or Exeter for school but villages with fab primary schools would be brill to know about. Thorverton looked sweet, but I'm really just going by how nice the local pub menus look at the moment and not sure that's a great route to success! We're outdoorsy, friendly, horsey, don't need masses of shops or supermarkets, love old houses and property, beautiful countryside and great community.
