Do any of you have a Qettle?

I’m having a kitchen refurb done and looking at getting one of these…

They are more reasonably priced than a lot of the others and made in the uk.

Would be grateful for any feedback… are they any good?

I have an insinkerator boiling tap and it's my favourite thing. We had one put in while doing up our old house, and it was bitterly missed when we moved here - we put one in after a few months.

If you need a pan of boiling water I'd usually fill from the normal tap and boil on the induction hob, but for tea, coffee, and other day to day tasks, they're great.

And before someone pops up saying they don't make drinks hot enough - you can usually change the temp on the little box under the sink. 90 degrees is hot enough for my coffee but you can turn it up for tea for example.

I've had a Qettle for about 5 years and very happy with it. Does hot water and cold filtered water. Customer service is good too.

We have one in the kitchen at work and it is very handy for making hot drinks.

Love ours. Don't know if I'd say it's worth the money in truth, but I do love it. I wouldn't go for one that doesn't do boiling water, personally.

I will double check but I’m sure this one goes to 100°

I hate the scum on top of tea if the water isn’t hot enough. I drink a 50/50 mix of tea or coffee.

Yes the qettle does, as does the quooker.

CatWontBudge · 17/06/2024 06:45

I've had a Qettle for 3 years. Love it. But whilst it does got to 100 degrees I'd say tea can still be slightly foamy on top, it's better for coffee. I find that with all boiler taps though.

ItsOnlyJustBegun · 17/06/2024 23:31

Hmm. I really DONT do foam on my tea. 🥴

Im starting to panic that I’ll pay £££ for a Qettle and then have to switch the kettle on too!
