Housing association affordability assessment

I have been offered a new build house. I sent in all necessary documents and have a pre tenancy check and affordability assessment next week. My worry is I recently found out I have rent arrears from a previous housing association from 10 years ago and I made a payment plan to pay this off 2 days before I was offered the property. Will they refuse to offer me the property once they find out? I did include the rent arrear payments in my expenditure list. Was I too honest? Should I have not mentioned it? Would they already know from the council bidding site?
