Should we move or should we stay?!

We currently really like our apartment. It’s in a fab area. Very pretty. We’ve really made it into our home. Painted it and bought furniture that fits the space. We like the restaurants and hairdresser and cafés. It’s home. It’s easy and it’s comfortable. It is too small however…

But we are bored. We keep flat hunting. We want another bedroom to work from home. We’d like a garden or a balcony. We fancy trying a new area of our city before we buy. We’d like to turn our bus commute into a walking commute.

Would you move if you found a good flat? Or would you stick to comfort?

Forgot to add. The reason we chose our current location was due to work / but we have now moved jobs. So we don’t need to live here anymore

Change is hard and strange.

But sometimes you have to take the plunge. I'd say you've listed some pretty good reasons as to why moving is in your head now.

You could always get your flat valued and take it from there.

I wouldn’t move at the moment just because I was bored. The market is terrible where I live, nothing is selling. What is it like near you?

It sounds like you’re renting so I don’t see the big deal in renting a different place if you’re bored with that one and want to try living somewhere different. There will be upheaval and extra costs of course.

Yes, if I found a good flat I would move. Sounds like worthwhile move just considering improvements in your working lives.

We have found a gorgeous flat - but we are still torn! It ticks so many boxes but then staying put is so easy?

I love moving. Go for it.

Don’t you worry about leaving somewhere nice? And not being as happy in the next place?
