Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using Redrow Help to Sell/Part Exchange?

Any personal stories/experiences or stories from friends? What are the catches (if any?)

I assume that you have read all their conditions on their website - there are quite a few.

Other than that you'll be overpaying to get a shiny new home and you'll be offered less than you may be expecting because it is priced to sell in 6 weeks - not sit around on RM for months like many homes are doing right now.

Other than that, my standard advice on new builds is to get them snagged for issues before moving in and don't get pushed into paying estate charges or other fleecehold costs.

@XVGN Thank you!
Yes was reading all the terms and conditions last night on the website looking for obvious potholes but none seemed obviously apparent..however I'm a bit sceptical of new house builders because of all the horror stories and Help to Buy obviously caught quite a few people out with the repayment terms etc.
They've built some new houses by us (South Wales) that were hugely overpriced but they seem to have brought the prices down quite a lot on the newest phase (we assume because interest rates have decreased the amount of buyers somewhat) and we've been trying to move up from a 3 bed to a 4 bed for quite a while. Just seemed like an option to explore but wanted to understand people's experiences first. Very good point about leasehold charges and estate charges.

Redrow used to be well-regarded as one of the better builders. I think they have been taken over. By Barratts?

I have no reason to doubt that they would execute on their part-exchange deals as advertised.

Good luck on your move.
