Those of you with ASHPs

We’re looking to upgrade our heating system (currently electric storage heaters).

Are you glad you got an ASHP?
What’s the noise like?
What size tank did you go for & do you get enough water for along shower, or multiple showers in a row?
Are your bills cheaper/more expensive?

We're hoping to get one installed via Octopus. So am researching them. There's a Facebook group: Heat Pumps UK and Ireland

octopus won’t do ours as we don’t have the right type of heating (we have electric radiators…)

Check your levels of wall insulation or you're going to be spending ££££s on electricity and still be cold in winter. Have you goy an up to date EPC?

@RoobarbAndMustard yeah, EPC is currently an F, mostly thanks to the electric heaters. As far as we know we have cavity wall insulation, but we do need to replace the loft insulation (working in that, although it won’t be sorted before we want to sort the heating…)
