Through lounge/diner

We are currently buying a house with a through lounge/diner however the previous owners have extended the kitchen to make a kitchen diner so we dont need a dining table in the lounge area. There is currently a three seater and a two seater sofa, TV and nest of tables. The area which was used as a dining room is now empty and wasted space. We cannot move the sofas back as the room is large and we would not be able to see the TV. Any ideas on how to utilise this area. From the dining area double doors open to a sun room so we really do not need extra chairs in there.

TIA

Linda

When I was growing up we had a pool table in a similar space. It was ace and I am very good at pool. Also, briefly, a table tennis table and a dart board.

What are your hobbies?

Would be good as a reading area with library, floor lamps, reading chairs

Depends if you have any hobbies. You could put a table and craft supplies there, or a table for jigsaws that you don't have to put away, a table for a desktop computer/printer. Lots and lots of shelving and a comfy armchair for books. Somewhere to make lego or other airfix type models.

Or just a table with random stuff on it for the cats to knock off.

Or a treadmill, exercise bike etc. They take up so much space just existing 😟
