Landlord membership

Which membership organisation for private residential landlords would you reccommend:

  1. National Residential Landlord Association (NRLA), £99/y
  2. British Landlord Association (BLA), £79.95/y

I've got 2 rental properties, both in a transition phase atm.
One is managed by myself, currently empty, needs decorating and then finding a tenant, the other I'm ending the agreement with the estate agent and the tenant is remaining and managing it myself.

The estate agent has been unprofessional and useless throughout and its no surprise they are being thoroughly unpleasant to myself and my tenant now I no longer want to use their services. I feel I need some support. I was with BLA for one year and their advice was good, but wondered if NRLA was better considering the higher membership fee.

I would ask the same question here, instead of mumsnet:

They can probably give you sound advice on how to transition to self-managing, too.

Thank you I will
