New kitchen- what to put in this cupboard?

We are redoing our kitchen at the moment and one of our base cupboards will have no shelf inside, I am just wondering what would I put inside this cupboard ? Am thinking of stacking bulk bought things or kitchen rolls but am wondering if anyone has any other ideas....

Can you not put a shelf in?

We stack Tupperware in one of our awkward cupboards.

Why no shelf, drawers or pull out baskets?

DoublePeonies · 01/06/2024 15:48

I'd put in a shelf...

Why won't it have a shelf? If it doesn't come with one it wouldn't be hard to fit one. Or you can buy racking units to go in.

Edit: We put extra shelves in some of our cupboards to make them more useable.

could this be a better use for your space @Star1223

Put a couple of stackable boxes in with whatever you want to store.

Assume there's a reason for no shelf! You can buy freestanding shelves.

Thanks everyone. Sorry, missed out the reason why in my original post, its a corner unit and it only has a shelf on one side - the other side it doesn't have a shelf.

Pans on a pan stand.

Star1223 · 01/06/2024 16:02

Thanks @YourSnugHazelTraybake ! Thats a good idea.

My oh is very handy and we could put a shelf in, but am wondering if I am missing a trick and could utilise the height in there with something I haven't thought of

Have one of the corner racks in that pulls right out.

Drawer boxes, then you'll have loads of options for using them.

We've kept one cupboard with no shelf to keep things like the air fryer in

PoochiesPinkEars · 02/06/2024 07:14

20kg sack of rice. Much cheaper to buy than smaller packets and keeps for aaaaaages, always tricky to know where to put it.

Which corner is it? A fully open l-shape, an l-shape with half hidden, or a rectangle that's half hidden? They all have different possibilities.

Whichever it is, unless you have loads of cupboards, I wouldn't want to limit myself to tall bulk storage.
