I want to erect a partition wall to convert my 1-bed flat into a 2-bed. I sought permission from the freeholder, that’s pending, and I believe I also need to talk to building control but I couldn’t quite figure out on my councils website what exactly I need to apply for. Does anyone have advice? I want to make sure that I have the right documents and everything’s in order because I also need to sell the flat at some point in future.
