Garden Fence Colour for Tiny (16m2) Back Garden

Asking for one of my DC.

New Build. Lawn. Small patio. No plants. He was planning only painting fence when he sells property in approx 4 years.

However neighbour has gone mad with the paint on her side and its bled thru. Doesn't want to paint it same colour (bluey grey) as neighbour as he says it looks minging.

Any suggestions. I always paint dark brown but my garden is large plus I've climbers/plants everywhere.

Prefers a colour that will still look okay in 4 years and doesn't make his tiny garden any worse.

Black can look v smart with plants in front

Or just leave it because the bleed through may fade over time.

Thanks never thought about just leaving it but might be a good option.

I think you are right about black with plants in front. Wondering what it looks like with nothing.

Is it his fence? Or a shared fence? If it's the neighbours fence he would need permission to paint it

Shared on 2 stretches with one neighbour. Remaining stretch is his (if he's interpreted the Hs and Ts correctly).

She didn't consult him about painting her side of share but I guess that doesn't mean he can paint his side without asking her.
