Which is affordable but still reasonable quality?

All we had IKEA kitchens in the past but we now have an absolutely Minging inherited with the house kitchen which is on its knees.

I just wonder whether IKEA is still considered good and how you would compare Howdens and Magnet - we're not in handmade bespoke territory.

DIY kitchens probably, can’t vouch for them but quote wise they’re much cheaper than howdens and magnet.

DIY kitchens.

(the actual company not the division of B&Q)
better quality, better price & no shifty sales people.

if you can get there, the showroom is well worth a visit!

DIY kitchens. My fitter said they were in a whole different class compared to Howdens. I am absolutely thrilled with ours.

We have a DIY kitchen. Went to the showroom once and did the rest online. Paid a fitter separately and it really is a beautiful kitchen. Not a single complaint and still looks brand new 5 years on! The quality really is fantastic 👌

Amazing, so worth the shlepp!

It's 3.5 hours from me. I've been twice. It's worth it. But you don't NEED to go, you can order samples of doors on line, they're good, strong, prebuilt cabinets, you don't need to see them.

CoffeeAndPeanuts · 20/05/2024 21:08

@GizmoGremlin which range & colour did you choose?

GizmoGremlin · 20/05/2024 21:14

It was the Norton range I believe, in Cobham Blue (navy)

I have an ikea kitchen, love it. It doesn't look cheap at all, and was less than 3k.

Allshallbewell2021 · 20/05/2024 21:23

Thank you, much

I used TKC kitchens for my fitted kitchen, they manufactured, design it and installed it. My kitchen with appliances, worktops, fitting and appliances was 10k, wren, wickes £15k. But they don't have showrooms, they provide samples and measure up too. Good quality units and hinges they use Blum.

We got one from wren. It was about 5 grand and has 10 cupboards, draws, pull out pantry thing, and all appliances. We love it.

We got our own kitchen fitter though because there's was really expensive.
