I think it’s definitely worth saying to the agent that if the sale falls through you would be interested.

and 2 days ago is a bit different to if it’s been under offer for a number of weeks and people would’ve spent money on solicitors etc.

I wouldn’t trust a vendor that would go with another offer high accepted one. I know technically it’s allowed but it doesn’t feel very moral.

Yes you can - it means the seller has had one or more offers and is considering them/hasn’t accepted yet.
Once it is SSTC that means an offer has been accepted and solicitors instructed.

Some estate agents won’t put forward your offer unless you can evidence deposit/agreement in principle so as to not waste time/have the sale collapse.

I think it has been accepted
The developer is buying it

I an trying to see if i could ask owners or estate agent to allow us to buy as we neighbours and need for elderly parents
