PARTIAL WALL REMOVAL- issue

Hi there,
im after abit of info if possible.
i bought a property 2 years ago (completed feb 2022) there’s a partial wall removal I’ve add a photo, between the staircase and living room.
this was done prior to me purchasing and I haven’t carried out any other major works.
Issue has now arose as im 10 weeks into selling and my buyers solicitor has flagged up this is on the survey and they need certifications.

i went back to say this was done previous and didn’t hear anything- fast forward 4 weeks and this is now a massive issue, they won’t accept indeminty insurance.

  1. this was never flagged when I bought the house just 2 years, no issues ever spoke to me about or no issues about indemnity etc
what are my rights here with the previous solicitor not picking this up?
  1. how do move this sale forward as quick as possible?
the previous owner lives down the road, if I spoke to him and got a statuary declaration would this be acceptable to the buyers solicitors?
  1. anything else advise wise would be amazing!

my onward purchase is now at a risk of putting it back the market as I can’t get anywhere with my sale, it’s my dream home 😭
