How quickly to go view properties?

We’re away but have seen a couple of properties we want to view. Worried we should be jumping to see houses straight away! But realistically it’s towards the end of next week earliest. What’s usual? I guess it’s estate agent/vendor availability too?
When I last sold a property it was popular and viewings booked up pretty quickly, but some properties I’m looking at have been on for a couple of weeks at least, some a lot longer, so perhaps not the rush and bidding wars I’m worried about?!

It really depends on the property. If there are many similar ones you should have more time, but the ones we viewed recently were gone in days and had multiple offers on the table.

Can you send a trusted friend of family member to view it for you?

We had to do this when we were away and a house that ticked every box came on the market. It was worth it for us. They go so fast.

I would call now and make an appointment to view for when you are back. That way if they do get an offer over the weekend for example they know you are interested and may well hold off accepting. I think the chances of offers over or even straight in at asking price are unlikely in most areas right now.

Book viewings, tell ea you're serious about the properties, and keep fingers crossed.

If you cant view sooner then theres nothing else you can realistically do.

That’s a good point! I think if I was selling I would want to hold off if another viewing was booked to see what offers I got - unless a lot of interest early on.
