The Barbican is a fantastic place to live
. A good friend of mine lived there. Commuting is horrible. So I'm firmly in camp B.

overwork · 14/05/2024 22:30

Oooh I'd love to live in the Barbican! Only downside is there's no park nearby if you enjoy a walk / run.

needsomeadvice22 · 14/05/2024 22:46

flat B has already been taken off right move, so flat A it looks beautiful!

raspberryberet7 · 14/05/2024 22:50

Flag A would get my vote

PrincessOfPreschool · 14/05/2024 22:55

Flat B but it's gone. Mostly for the area, wouldn't be able to live there with kids etc. Flat A looks lovely but more of a family area.

dereaw · 15/05/2024 01:17

Flat B if you can still get it. Lived a short walk away and often spent time in the open areas. I'm able to walk to work to my office in zone 1 and it's so freeing not to be affected by strikes, engineering works, delays and the shoving on a tube commute. I used to head to the Thames path for a run.

epice · 15/05/2024 08:04

Flat A because Clapham would allow me to switch off and separate work from personal life.

FloofyBear · 15/05/2024 08:09

B - but in all honesty it's bonkers expensive! I'd live in Kent and commute in

MidnightPatrol · 15/05/2024 08:11

How old are you?

I’d say flat B for the opportunity to live in central London.

The northern line on that stretch is an absolute nightmare and I’d avoid a commute that went through the Claphams as a result.

Grumpynan · 15/05/2024 08:13

Looks like b is gone, and I liked the living room, but a has so much more character and homely feeling

PickleSarnie · 15/05/2024 12:28

Flat A. I used to live round the corner. Lovely area. But Northern Line is hideous so I used to cycle to work into the City. No hills and a cycle route all the way - actually quicker than the tube. The Barbican is very marmite. You either think its a thing of brutalist beauty or ugly and soulless. I'm definitely in the latter camp.

Appleblum · 15/05/2024 12:32

B definitely. It's the nicer flat and shorter commute.

Watchthedoormat · 15/05/2024 12:36

A. More character and more 'homely'.

Moneymonkey · 15/05/2024 12:46

My brother lives on the same road as flat A - it's a lovely area. Abbevile road has got a village type feel too 🥰

Whatsmyusername1235 · 15/05/2024 12:49

Love flat A

TeapotCollection · 15/05/2024 12:55

Fucking hell, the prices! Flat B is exactly £1,000 a month more than my take home pay
