1980's Kitchen drawer front

I saw a thread a few years ago with someone wanting a replacement for a damaged MFI kitchen cupboard door. I wondered if anyone has one they are getting rid of. My tenant is leaving what was my mum's house and has damaged the front of one of the drawers. It is called the 1980's eurostyle handleless range. Thought it was worth a try as someone was able to help then.

I grew up with this same exact kitchen! Good memories!

Maybe look on facebook/ebay?

A local Facebook group or Freecycle 'wanted' will probably turn something up

Your tenant hasn't 'damaged' one of the doors; it's a 40 year old kitchen, and it should have been replaced 20 years ago, before it literally fell apart - being a cheap as chips kitchen in the first place.

Now you're looking for a replacement, for free.

Just, urgh.

Well thank you so much KievLoverTwo for your wonderful help. My parents looked after the kitchen for all those years and why SHOULD they have replaced it, they were in their 90's when they passed and were perfectly happy with it. The tenant was renting for a very reasonable rent, bearing in mind that the kitchen was rather old and the house a bit dated. At what point did I say I was looking for a replacement for free? If you have nothing better to do than post on this site some nasty comments, then what a sad life you must lead.

Op, it is knocking on fifty years old, if you can’t find a replacement, just paint the damaged bit cream. I hope you’re not charging the tenants, it’s so old now it is going to start falling to bits.

We binned a kitchen like this about 6 months ago. Tenants had damaged a couple of cupboards and we decided that it was just time for a change. It looks so much better now.

you could try local freecycle groups or free groups on FB

I think it's time to redo the kitchen. I grew up with that kitchen. I can't imagine there are many left with spare parts in decent shape

A good chippy can probably make a new front for that drawer. I'd estimate £150. Cheaper than a complete replacement.

I had lots of friends with that kitchen. It was of its time.
