Selling house

Thinking of selling our family home in east London. Do you think it’s worth waiting until spring next year (talk of interest rates going down etc) and this is what people are doing generally if they aren’t in a rush to sell? Or should we just proceed now. We aren’t in a rush, just wondered on others thoughts.

don’t want to list now and then relist next year if we don’t get an offer we like as I think it doesn’t look good if people notice

No idea what interest rates will be doing. There's always speculation but so many things can affect them. Like a potential new government for example!
I'd ust list it at the best time for you.

I think there is a good chance that if you wait until spring next year it might be worth less. Hard to know.

Houses sell at market value, so if you list too high now, you are unlikely to get an offer at that level. Why don't you speak yo an estate agent to see what they would value it at and then see if that appeals? Look at why you want to move and what you could get where you are considering moving to. No one can tell if things will go up or down in a year as there are so many variables.
