Recommendation of good split air con unit

Hi,

We are looking at having air con installed and I wondered if anybody might have any recommendations? I'm not looking for a portable unit, but maybe a split one or something else.

I'd like to buy one that I can try before I buy it, because I have problems with the portable units smelling weird.

We have 3 Fujitsu units and are happy with them. We use them to heat and cool. They have a mode that makes them essentially silent from outside, so they don't bother our neighbours.

I believe split units need to be professionally installed. We paid about £4,500 last summer for the 3 units.
