How do you stop your house sold price from showing up online?

On websites like Nethouseprices? There are now several houses near me that sold in the last few years and they never show up online. How does this work? Usually you can look up sold prices to get a better idea of market values.

Do you mean the houses you are talking about don't show up on the Land Registry data base? I think that means they were either auctioned, a company sale or were a repossession.
There is also a very long delay at the Land Registry - I don't know why but sometimes it's a year or more before the sale shows.

In scotland they don't show until registration is completed so they could be caught in the backlog that the land registry has.

They may not have actually sold just withdrawn!

a house near us sold winter 2022 and has only just shown up so they may just be delayed

As far as I'm aware, you can restrict websites like Rightmove sold house prices from showing pictures, but you can't stop the sale prices from being listed.

So as above posters said, is it possible they didn't sell in the end? Maybe it's worth checking with an estate agent.

It’s data gathered from the land registry that isn’t available until the new owners are registered. Land Registry have a back log of registrations.
