Recently had back door fixed as it was letting water in. The previous tenants had a mat by the door and the oak floor has got badly stained by the damp mat.
I began rubbing the floor down but it has hardly made a difference to the water marks. I want to stain the floor dark but think the marks will show through. Has anyone ever managed to fix anything similar? Thx
