Have to empty the freezer before moving?

I remember that when we got our freezer I think we had to leave it a few hours before turning it on. So I wondered if that is the rule when moving it for the second time? Will all the food defrost?

Or do the removals people just tape the door and it stays cold enough?

It'll be fine provided it's full enough.

Ask your removal company. One that quoted us told us we would have to defrost it.

The one we went with said they would leave everything in the freezer but they would pack the fridge.
