We're FTB renovating the bathroom and unfortunately made an expensive mistake! We're regretting the choice of grey bathroom tiles - the colour doesn't look great and we used the same tile on the floor and wall. It's too late now to make any changes - any advice on what we can do to make the bathroom look nicer and less cold?

forgot to attach image - see below. grout isn't on yet, hoping when all fixtures are done it'll look better. Also there isn't proper lighting yet

They will look better when they are grouted and you have the bathroom suite in. You can then brighten the room with blinds, bath mats and nice towels and accessories. Don’t panic at this stage, rooms don’t always look great when they are half finished.

Don’t panic. You won’t notice the colour once you’ve put the bath/loo/sink radiator/mirror and whatever accessories in. The tiles are the only thing your mind is focused on at the moment but once everything else is in they will fade into the background.
Get the light bouncing round the room. Don’t accessorise with anything that will drag the colour down. Buy shiny chrome taps & radiator rather than brass or black. Paint the ceiling white. White towels and the biggest mirror you can find.

Thanks both! I will try not to panic now, will wait till everything is done and decorate after. Feeling kinda overwhelmed taking on a big renovation project as FTBs but hopefully I can post a positive update!
