Possible to fit carpet to these stairs

We're thinking of making an offer on a house but I'm not keen on the stairs as they're not carpeted and I prefer carpets. They feel quite slippery and don't look cosy

How easy would it be to have risers fitted, and carpet?

You would have to box them all in. What about getting the carpet just for the treads? Or if slippy you can get some anti slip things

I have carpeted floating stairs and it can be done, just takes a lot of carpet!

You could box them in, or replace woth solid stairs. Then you could nake understands storage too.

I grew up with stairs exactly like these. And I can tell you, in 20+ years, a family of 4, not a single one of us ever fell down them.

Presumably each step could be individually wrapped in carpet.
