You have a toddler and you're pregnant... Honestly save yourself the stress and pay someone to do it for you!!!

One room at a time. Have a bin bag/box for things to throw. Be ruthless. Don’t take stuff you haven’t used or don’t need to your next house. Set aside an hour during nap time or 2 hours in an evening focused on just packing. Lesser used rooms first because there’s less that would be needed if it was packed away. Label boxes room by room, much easier for unpacking the other end. Good luck!

As PP said - get a removal firm to pack for you.

Pay someone to do it.

We moved when I was 6 months pregnant and with a 1 year old. Then had to move again a few months later with a newborn and a 1 year old.

Not a chance in hell I could have done all the packing myself with pregnancy/baby/toddler. And husband working long hours.

Think we paid around £300 for a full house packing service. All done in one day by a team of people, one day before we moved. Best money I’ve ever spent!

Go through each room getting rid of stuff you don't want to take with you. Take it all to the charity shop. Clear any rubbish or stuff you really don't need like magazines, newspapers, clothes no one wears/old toys etc, anything broken.

Then pay your moving company to pack it. They will literally pack everything (like even the bin with the rubbish inside it 😂) but they will be so quick and you won't have to life boxes and try to wrangle toddlers.

Packing service. They’re so efficient, they’ll have it done in less than a day.

For your toddler, pull together a box with favourite pjs, toys, books and teddies. Along with calpol and anything needed for comfort or sleep. Label the box clearly as going in your car and when you get to the new house put it straight in their room. The rest of the boxes will come in whatever order but at least you know you have the things to help your toddler settle.

You also need a box with phone chargers, any paperwork, tablets, first aid supplies and any medicines you take. Again clearly labelled to go in the car and that goes in the kitchen but on the countertop, other boxes go on the floor.
