Water pressure conundrum

Kindnesskindnesskindness · 02/05/2024 15:28

We have building work going on here (loft extension) so water being turned off to fit rads etc.

Currently, water pressure everywhere in the house is back to normal, apart from the kitchen sink.
The plumber is flummoxed.

We have a boiling water tap so I replaced the filter as I think in the past that has affected water function.

Boiling water tap is working ok although pressure a tad weaker but the other side tap is still very weak, whether set to hot or cold.

Any ideas what might have happened?

TIA

Is he sure he’s turned the valves on fully and no sediment blocking?

Sounds like an airlock, or partial airlock, although the kitchen tap should come straight off the mains and would usually have the best pressure.
Is it possible a pipe has got damaged/bent during the work and so is restricting the flow?

Thanks for your comments.
Plumber says yes he’s sure he’s turned the valves on fully.
And he’s checked everything and can’t see any damage etc.

Could be a blockage in that run of pipe. Maybe something (lump of scale) came off the stopcock when it was used?
