Boring areas of London?

We lived on the borders of Belgravia and Pimlico in central London. It was boring as f*ck. We then moved to Balham who everyone said was nappy valley, and it was great!

Friends of ours moved to Ilford and got a house for a bargain price. They soon discovered there was nothing there and it was boring.

Where would you say is a boring area to live in London?

We now live in Islington and it's fab.

Doesn’t it depend what you like doing? We lived around various scuzzier bits of Zone 2, but I don’t need excitement in my immediate vicinity, I just like to be able to get to art galleries and the theatre easily. Balham struck me as remarkably dull when I went to look at a flat there, but that was in about 2005.

I had a coffee in Notting Hill about three years ago, that place seemed dull

I was walking through Pimlico Belgravia the other day and thought it seems a great place to live. Quiet but easy to get to buzzier parts of London.

Eh.. why?

Agree. I’d love to live there and I don’t like London now but there, wow.

I live in a lovely boring part of London. The exciting parts are very easy to get to via TfL and I get to live in peace and quiet.

Can you afford it though?

The kind of people who can afford it will have different wants to those who wished they could afford it.

Could you please explain this to me? Sorry if I’m thick but being able to afford it doesn’t necessarily make your wants different?

I used to live in various parts of Acton because it was cheap (for a reason). East Acton, West Acton, near Poet’s Corner, it was so boring there. Sweet FA to do, no shops& no life.

I always found Wanstead very dull but I know that's a minority opinion on MN!
