Anyone brought/buying a Persimmon/Charles Church house recently (flooring) or what to give me thoughts anyway (included pictures)

What have you chosen? I think i'm having Ennerdale Oak herringbone LVT, but torn between Quarry or Felix for carpet (leaning towards Quarry).

Or which would you pick if you haven't got a Persimmon/Charles Church home...

Love the ennerdale oak.
I prefer the Felix carpet though.

Ive recently bought a persimmon and my last house was Charles church. In my current house I have light grey carpets (I think it’s quarry) and grey shiny tiles downstairs. They were free and down already so I didn’t get to choose.

in my last house I had the LVT throughout downstairs and a darker grey speckled carpet upstairs (sorry can’t remember the name).

The lighter grey looks better but isn’t great for fluff/ marks. There’s only two of us so not too bad but with a family I imagine it would be a nightmare and not last long.

I really disliked the LVT as it scratched quite easily and they seal the edges with white sealant which just made dust stick to it so I was forever having to get it off with a damp cloth. It was very expensive too lovely to walk on though- the tiles I have now are quite cold but really easy to clean.

I may be biased as I am house hunting, (6 months) and inevitably lots of the interiors have been grey.

This current trend is coming to an end, it has been around for quite a while, but it will make your home look dated.

I prefer the felix.

A couple of estate agents have told me the grey trend is well and truly over. I never liked it. I much prefer warmer-toned carpets like beige. All my friends hate the grey too but we're all in our 40s and 50s so maybe it is still popular with those in their 20s and 30s?

The one to the right of Felix looks nicer to me. Felix is greige so might be hard to get furnishings that go with grey and beige. Quarry more clearly on the grey spectrum. I suppose it depends on sofa colour and other furniture.

Afraid we are very traditional and don't follow trends or the "current thing".
When we moved a couple of years ago quite a lot of (Amtico) flooring was included so we went for nice, warm, traditional oak colour. We then got the developer to carpet the rest (much easier) and again, we went for a nice, bland oatmeal.
Along with our nice bland walls (of course😉) this meant we could have bold coloured blinds, curtains, rugs, sofas, cushions, bedding, throws, pictures etc.

This is my exact style Cotswoldbee - beige/oatmeal carpet in hallway and bedrooms with wood/some kind of oak flooring downstairs, white walls then colour coming from the sofa, rugs, cushions, pictures etc - reds, blues, orange, yellow. I have some kilims so pick up those colours. I suppose you can do this with grey too. I just feel having looked for a house for the past 2 years the grey trend has really been overdone. Rarely is it paired with anything other than a grey sofa with perhaps a little colour coming from cushions.

Thank you all, I've gone with Felix. I took some of the swatches of fabrics i'll be using (that come from my current home) and the warmer colour of Felix looked better (and the most similar to my current carpet). I'm not a fan of grey either, my current home is lots of dark blues, and i'm bringing some of my things with me to this house.

Looks really good Startingover. I think the warmer tones are nicer but it's all personal preference. I like the blue tones in that swatch.
