Swing in front garden?

Possibly the wrong place but can you have a swing in your front garden? House is a council house if that is relevant. Asked on another group and apparently loads of people have swings in their front garden but I've never seen that here at all so assumed it wasn't allowed. (Back garden is patio)

Probably. But your house will constantly have all the kids over.

I have a swing in my front garden and I've never 'had all the kids round'! Just used my us but we have high fences.

Kids don't play out here it's a main road in London we never see kids out here. Neighbours are elderly. Don't have high fences just a hedge around, no fence.

We have a seat in ours (as the sun shines there in the evenings) and we do get odd looks from passersby but we just raise a glass at them and say good evening. There is a v odd idea in this country that front gardens are just for show & cars but I say use it if it's the most practical place for a swing. You can always move it if strangers insist on using it.

The only issue would be that it might be more of a target for theft it in the front garden where anybody passing by can see it.

It would just be a cheap single swing nothing fancy, we get care takers on this road pretty much daily so they would see it, it's not a road that the council never visit the care takers are here daily and they can be quite funny they once complained about my sons toy car in the front garden.

There may be something in your lease that prevents it, but generally this would be ok.
